Halal Chicken and Rice

Ingredients

White Sauce

  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Squeezed Lemon (Just mix this up and crack some pepper in it)

Everything else

  • Garlic Powder
  • Paprika
  • Turmeric
  • Thyme Powder
  • Oregano
  • Onion Powder
  • Lemon Juice
  • Salt
  • Olive Oil
  • Chicken thigh or chopped breasts
  • 1 Cup rice

Steps

  1. If using Chicken breasts cut to preferred size and place in a bowl to combine with seasonings.
    • I just guestimate how much of the seasonings. Enough to coat each piece of chicken. Its quite a bit.
  2. Place Chicken into cold pan
  3. Heat for 5 minutes or until sizzling then flip Chicken and remove Chicken
  4. Place Onion and Rice with water into pan
  5. Return Chicken to pan with rice
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes
